Follow the below steps to enable the Google Analytics by editing the theme:
First, you need to login to your Google Analytics account--->Click on Admin--->then click on tracking info--->And click tracking code--->Copy the entire code which presents in the tracking code box including the starting script <script> till the ending script </script>
Login to your WordPress as an Administrator.
Click on Appearance under the Dashboard--->Then click on editor--->Edit Theme page appears.
click on Header (header.php) under the Template.
Find the ending </head> tag and then paste the tracking ID code just above to the ending </head> tag which you have obtained from step 1
Finally, click on update file. Now Google Analytics will enable it on all the pages of your WordPress site.
